The Hot House is a neighbourhood standby with multiple seating options, including a meeting room fully lined with windows to a view of the never ending action of the area. It is a sprawling space with a warm ambiance; thus managing to simultaneously be an ideal choice to bring a large group or a family. A great menu (nice selection of pasta dishes) is perfect when needing to please a large group with different palates. Prices are great for both the food and bar. The atmosphere is lively and not too noisy; the servers are all friendly, helpful and best of all, they are consistent. La Vecchia “From their famiglia to yours” the brothers Philobes: Ciro, Massimo and Fillipo, epitomize the family business. To them your happiness is their passion, and hospitality is much more than just a word. In an industry where some struggle and fail, the Philobes brothers have championed the trendy Yonge & Eglinton neighbourhood for 25 years. When entering into La Vecchia you instantly feel you have travelled to Italy without needing a passport. With stone and stucco walls covered in paintings and grand mirrors, La Vecchia captures the essence of Italian dining with European gusto. The menu is old world with a strong focus on fresh ingredients. It includes a wide selection of appetizers, pasta, pizza, risotto and traditional Italian entrees; each served so beautifully you almost don’t want to touch the Michaelangeloesque creation on the plate. Save room for the Dolci and Liquori, it’s the final destination on your journey to Italy.
