This style of sushi isn't served with soy and wasabi, but instead is eaten as is showing off the flavour of the salmon that literally melts in your mouth. Dessert is something that isn't big at traditional Japanese restaurants, but Minami employs an in-house pasty chef so please leave room for something that you won't find any- where else. I've had the pleasure of trying their Green Tea Opera, an unbelievable combination of Green tea sponge infused with espresso and Frangelico liqueur, green tea butter cream, dark chocolate ganache, azuki bean cream served with green tea ice cream and green tea sauce. The other standout item if you are a tea lover is the Earl Grey Berry Cake, a delicious yet light Earl Grey cream and walnut sponge with Earl Grey cookie crust, blueberry and blackberry compote, Japanese puffed rice, hazelnuts, chantilly cream and cassis-vanilla ice cream.
